Consistent feedback from colleagues for 2007 was that I am not ambitious enough to progress in my career - already hit ceiling, etc.

This frustrates me because I am viewed as smart and valuable, but they are right, I am not progressing anymore. I am not the type to market myself and stick my neck out in a competitive nature for my career, but I am seeing the need to take control.

Anybody in the same boat? How have you dealt?
