Effective Leadership in Meetings
I like the story of NYC Major Bloomberg holding meetings where he ask people to stay on their feet. People are more focused, and apparently meetings are over faster.
I remember my days as a new and young manager trying to inspire. I thought my past success would carry me into being a great manager. No way! Trying other's secrets or tricks to running a meeting seemed fake and reminded me of the forced meetings I sat through. I needed a new identity.
I think great leaders produce anticipation of the next jewel as they lead a vision people buy into.
What do you do or see that people identify with and inspires them to participate in the next meeting?
