Jean - I would recommend starting with those people who naturally connect with franchise owners (buyers & sellers) already. These would be accountants, CPAs, bookkeepers, attorneys, commercial Realtors. While they're not your end contacts, they certainly will have more connections in that arena then the average person (and loads more influence with them, too).
It's always great to get an introduction to someone you want to meet from someone they consider a trusted advisor.
