I, too, support land conservation and restoration. I'm working with Racing for Wildlife, a partnership between The Conservation Fund and the Ryan Newman Foundation, with the purpose of conserving and restoring land around racetracks across the country.
So far, Racing for Wildlife has protected 1,100 acres within the Talladega National Forest and is currently working on restoring a once popular youth camp called Mill Lake just north of the Michigan International Speedway.
To raise funds for the projects, Racing for Wildlife is raffling a custom painted motorcyle with the winner to be announced at the race on August 16. To learn more about the project and to purchase raffle tickets, visit
