Right on! 4GLs allow us technology unenthuiasts to deliver powerful solutions. Non 4th generation environments are great, especially for the enthusiasts, and there is an ever changing plethora of free goodies out there. But when time or money is on the line, there's no place for tinkering and a 4GL fits the bill perfectly.

It is a commercial environment for sure ($$), but many leading web apps use WebSpeed from Progress, which powers up web development using a proven 4GL (now called ABL, advanced business language).
