Question Video Resumes

I have a pretty good job situation, but always keeping an eye out for new opportunities. I think I will get more aggressive beginning '08. While networking and reading up online around industry and job search ideas, I have seen video resume pitches often.

My question is the excitement seems to be generated by companies offering the service. I have no examples of actual hiring managers or recruiters excited about the presentation - is there something to read into this?

I am in sales and present well, however, if the decisions makers don't care, should I? What say you?

Thanks!
