Any tips or suggestions to start making money online???

I have been on the net for quite some time and with all the pop-ups and ads for making money online come up regularly, I was wondering the existence of their reality. I have come to know many things like the SCAMS and the RICHES that are there. Some say …that there is a lot of scam and yet some argue in getting rich!!!! This is all so confusing……….do you people have any suggestions on that and what can be the positive for this.

The best way to make money online is add value with content and projects people care about. Just like making money offline: know your market, listen and learn, add value and keep at it.
Promises for riches and fast/easy money is not interesting to people with purpose and love for what they do every day.

Yes, you are right. There are many scams that go on in the web world and some systems or techniques do really make money. It is just that you need a good system that can provide you with real tips and techniques to make money with their experience.

Well, it depends on what industry you want to tackle. Right now, the multimedia industry is making money from ads (and I mean company-issued ads), smaller sites make money from google/yahoo adsense/ads. Other companies make money from services, and product promotion. There are sites who design backends for those merchandise sales sites. That would cost you a lot because they charge thousands JUST for coding the backend/frontend AND the mainpages themselves.

So, yea, it depends on what you're doing.

I agree with David, Useful contents and products always attract customers and ad companies, thats how successful online business works. You must give something before getting anything back:-) Start with a subject that you are interested in and share your knowledge and experience with others, in my opinion this is the bast way to long lasting success.

Any company that says you can get rich quick is obviously a scam. You need to pay your dues before becoming wealthy, just like in real life businesses. It wouldnt hurt to start a blog or website to get familiar with the online world.
