How To Use The Business and Career Forums on Your Brand Plan

The business and career forums are the backbone of www.YourBrandPlan.com

The forum tab in the top navigation will bring you to the main business and career forums page. Most features for the site such as community are located in the sub-navigation bar just below the forum tab. Scan down the page to become familiar with the multiple topics in each section. Posts in forums will be on topic within each category.

Terminology:

Forum: Discussion forums (or discussion board) is a series of topics. Not different than offline where you might participate in a forum with a community to discuss a topic of interest. Online, this is the same thing.

Thread: in a forum, there are threads. A thread under discussion is like an email thread or string of back and forth dialog. A thread on this forum refers to all posts under the thread. When you are in any forum you will see a Post New Thread button - this starts a discussion.

Reply: in a thread, you will see a Reply to Thread button. This is how you add your comments to thread.

Guest are welcome to start a new thread and post comments in any thread with limited features. For best benefit, you must be registered to become a member and logged in to benefit from all the features available. To benefit your personal and business brand you must be easy to find. Therefore, create your profile before you start posting in the forums or blog.

Registered users can embed video code right in the post. Add attachments and create a poll to any post. These premium features for registered users are located below the content field when making a post.
