invest the time
It is important that everyone invest the time to do homework on each other. Candidate on the company and company on the candidate.
As you are researching a company and people you would be working with, start with doing the little things that many don't. What does the company do well? What are the trends in the industry? What do you do well and how do you contribute? Go in with this minimum knowledge and be prepared to ask great questions.
Many people do not ask questions where they do not want to know the answer because fear overrides the need for the job/need for the hire. Don't make this mistake. Make good decisions with calculated risk. Ask great questions and dig in where you have concerns.
