The foundation of my identity was established before I was eight years old (are all of ours?) I was polite but argumentative and competitive – started a lawn mowing and snow removal company and created a cartoon family and told the story through books, etc. Playing sports or games with friends, I gravitated to ‘grown up’ conversations with the adults on our block. I told people I wanted to be a motivational speaker when I grow up; advertising was interesting and I wanted to help entrepreneurs (I don’t think I knew what that meant at the time).

Not much has changed – I studied marketing in college and was directed by an insightful mentor to pursue a career as an executive recruiter to, as he put it, acquire a peer group of “grey hairs”. I found that I love working with business owners and visionaries. Turns out, I love supporting passionate people in whatever they do to make a significant impact.

Bringing my experiences and passion together, I built and operate Your Brand, LLC. Your Brand, LLC. helps individuals develop, manage and brand a productive career and business. We unleash your potential with a personal brand, help you answer the "So What" with a great vision. Like a great ad agency, but for people! Our products are the Strategic Career Plan which is like a business plan for people and Personal Board of Advisors which is an online personal, professional and business development tool for a global community.

My direct and supportive leadership style has been captured in the company, its tools and events. I am fortunate to have passionate and focused partners contributing detailed attention to the Personal Board of Advisors product.

My short bio:

David is the founder of Your Brand, LLC and has an extensive background in retained executive search. He has managed client engagements, built research teams and run western region operations for a premier retained executive search firm. David held a variety of professional positions including Director of research, and Operations VP. He advises entrepreneurial ventures and start-up organizations.

David is a Colorado native along with his wife, Julie who is also a local business owner and he is intimately involved in the community including supporting disadvantaged kids mainly as board president with Camp Fire USA - Central Rockies Council
