We've all become used to this high-tech driven world where everything (well almost everything) can be found instantly and things run smoothly...or not.
Netflix had their own little experience of things not running smoothly this past Monday when a glitch in their system caused their website to go down and customers' DVDs to be shipped out a day late.
Netflix issued an email apologizing for the delay. There's an interesting
conversation going on over at Hacking Netflix which shows that some customers were pretty disturbed about the website being down. However,
PC Magazine found that most customers were ok with this.
Netflix did the right thing by emailing their customers with an apology. They also did right by issuing a 5% credit. Whether or not that equals a whole lot in terms of dollars and cents, but hey, it's the thought that counts. I wish my bank would give me some money back when their ATM is down!
