The first-ever Apprentice Challenge, sponsored by the Metro State Alumni Association is complete with a well deserved finalist group and winner!


Every student in this challenge is amazing. Just to get to this point and the accomplishments in the community and business involved. Each one of these students are leaders and will accomplish amazing things in their profession and in the community they serve!

The winner, Giedre Stasiunaite, a native of Lithuania, is a true humble champ with talent and professional insight beyond her years. We got to know her well because my wife, Julie, was her mentor through the process. Julie witnessed true dedication from someone stretched pretty thin in her work and college career - through the Apprentice Challenge into the mix and you wonder how she does it. Well, her work ethic and talent. That is why she won over a great field of competition and collaboration, in my judgement.
