Apparently Facebook has more users over 30 years old than under 30 now and business networking is becoming more useful like social networking sites LinkedIn. I don't see it? Any stories of success on Facebook as a good business networking site?

Like any on or offline networking, the value you get has a direct relationship with the value and time you put in. My Facebook profile has generated old friend connections, new connections, activity on my forum, attendees to my events including Your Brand Radio and has been the source for some Strategic Career Plan Sales. I finally started spending time on Facebook at the beginning of this year (five months ago or so) and happy with what is happening already.
The almost daily value I add and ultimately receive on LinkedIn is greater because I have more years there with significant contact and activity. You will see stories like mine and stories with much greater value and far less as well...there will be a relationship to the quality of your profile and time you take. I hope this helps.

I agree with David. I'm on Facebook and utilize it more as a social venue to find out more about people I know, or have some sort of contact with, or share similar interests (i.e. we live in the same geographic area and are entrepreneurs). It's not really a business building tool for me although I believe that anytime your learn more about someone it deepens the relationship which builds trust.
Interactions, like Facebook, give you a chance to sample each others' character and competence - again, these are all a part of trust building activities. LinkedIn is more of the business focus for me and I definitely take a very systematic and strategic approach to my LinkedIn connections which has yielded extremely valuable results.
