Today’s topic is about giving yourself the gift of a little holiday peace.
Many of you may have spent more money on the holidays than you think you should have, and are feeling some guilt and anxiety over it.
So my advice today, if that’s the case for you, is to try not to beat yourself up too much over it—it is what it is—but do decide what to do about it for the future.
Decide today how you will change things for next year: if you've gone overboard on charging for presents because you didn't plan ahead with your cash, resolve to go on January 2nd to open a savings account specifically for holiday gifts, and commit to an amount to fund it with every month.
Whatever change you commit to, write it in your calendar to do, and then give yourself permission to have a good time the next few days.
There is no greater present you can give your family or yourself than peace of mind, so decide on an action to bring that to your finances next year, then go enjoy the holiday!
Take A Minute:
Decide on one thing to change for more financial peace of mind during next year's holiday season.
Make A Minute:
Schedule it, then let it go!
Thank you for your gifts of time, attention and resolve.
Have a wonderful holiday season!
