We will be joined by Ami Desai, Head of School and Patricia Stroud, Development Director as well as one or two current student of this remarkable high school!

The mission of Denver Venture School is to enable a diverse group of students to achieve academic, social and career success. The Denver school offers a relevant, project-based, business-oriented curriculum in a small public school environment. Students are held to the highest standards of achievement and supported by a dedicated community of faculty and mentors.

Denver Venture School is dedicated to:
• Become the leading business-oriented public high school in the nation.
• Develop entrepreneurial leadership qualities in all students.
• Prepare all students to succeed in post-secondary education.
• Create an innovative school that can serve as a role model for entrepreneurial education nationwide.

Denver Venture School is a tuition-free public high school that opened August 18th, 2008 with a class of 78 Freshmen students. They are committed to a small school environment that will grow by one grade per year, building to a total student population of approximately 450 students in grades 9-12.

The Denver Venture Scholars has seen some great success this year:
• Over a 90% daily attendance rate
• Fall to Winter Growth Data showed that over 70% of their students improved in Math and 60% in Reading.
• Opportunities to visit and interact with a variety of colleges and universities, including: CU Leeds School of Business, DU, Regis, and Johnson and Wales.
• Receiving the Downtown Denver Partnership Award
• Ability to interact and experience a variety of business settings: for-profit, non-profit, large corporations, and small businesses.
