Our guest this week is Jeff Messer who is uniquely qualified to help people explore alternative career options. Jeff has seen a lot in his 20 years of entrepreneurial and corporate endeavors within a wide range of industries. Jeffrey has been in the investment and venture capital industry in the 1980's, expanded the commercial division of a software testing firm, built an IT staffing solutions practice and started several small businesses. During his time as a franchisee with Furniture Medic, a franchise within the ServiceMaster organization, Jeff established the first operation in Colorado and built it to a consistently top-five ranked, multi-license operation. During his seven plus years with Furniture Medic, Jeff served on the National Accounts Committee, the National Marketing Committee and served as the Director for Strategic Initiatives/National Sales Director. He and his wife, Heidi, were recognized with several awards including the 1994 Extra Mile Award, 1995’s Friends and Family Award, the Top Sales award for 1996, and they were named to the President’s Cabinet in 1999 and 2000. We LOVE that integrated life on Your Brand Radio!

Jeff has also owned a Sunbelt Business Broker franchise and has launched several independent businesses including Kizuri Sana, an import/export operation, and Spero Mountain Coffee, a specialty coffee roasting company. Jeff has extensive expertise and knowledge in small business development and is a passionate advocate of micro-enterprise development and entrepreneurism.

Jeff is currently a franchise owner with The Entrepreneur's Source where he takes all of this great experience and supports entrepreneurs as they navigate through early challenges. He also helps those considering if investing in a franchise is right for them...and what type of business!
