    Re: Your Brand Radio 2009!!!

It is January 1st 2010. I am so happy now that I look to the past year and realize that a group of people who dream of having a forum to add value through voicing their passion were able to do so and be heard by 10's of thousands just because I spent the year living my passion, having a great time and never feeling like I was working. And I'm ready to do it again - even bigger!

My goals for 2009 are to:

    1. Give more than I get in every aspect of my life. Give more than I get to my family. Give more than I get to my clients. Give more to the community and causes I believe in.
    2. Earn it everyday. What is it? Doesn't matter - the trust of my clients, the friendship of my friends. Don't take it for granted - earn it. Be in the moment, and earn it.
    3. Obtain better work life balance by obtaining more good clients, walking away from opportunities that are not in my sweet spot, and saying "NO" more.

First off, congrats to David on his thriving Your Brand Community!

    My goals for 2009:

    1. Double my billable hours (which should in turn double my income!)
    2. Be more present in my business and not so scatterbrained. Focus is key.
    3. More to be determined!

    Re: Your Brand Radio 2009!!!

After watching David's video, I understand that the goals posted here should be directed at ourselves and/or our own businesses. That being said, our "MuellerTime" goals for 2009 are:

    1. Grow Expand our Corporate Promotions segment and increase production to grow revenues by 150% so that we can hire an additional employee to assist with production.
    2. Build Implement and launch several new websites that focus on specialized retail products to capture different market segments.
    3. Teach By the end of this year, I would like to host seminars that instruct business owners how to effectively promote their company integrating Web 2.0 and targeted advertising.

Over the years hundreds of studies have been conducted to prove companies should maintain effective advertising during a recession. Don't cut your advertising budget, let your competition cut theirs. Targeted Advertising is a key component of a strategic marketing plan so that you don't waste money advertising the wrong message in the wrong place to the wrong audience.

  6. Half-way through 2009 - How are you doing???

We had a fun Your Brand Radio show at the beginning of 2009 where many of you shared goals for the year. Those who posted on this thread might share how you are doing? We discussed reviewing deliberately quarterly. Now that we are half way through, care to share what is on plan and what is not?

Update half-way through year 2009 goals for Your Brand Radio
We are easily and consistently reaching over the few hundred listeners per show mark but have not crossed (consistently) the thousands of listeners per show.

We had a drop after switching to Blog Talk Radio, but the regular numbers are back and past where we were on average. Some shows spike higher than others. Above our regular listeners, that is do to guests marketing being on the show on twitter and facebook, key words and people posting comments. Google loves refreshing thread posts!

The overall site traffic and unique visitors who stick around is remarkable and Your Brand Radio has something to do with it. We have a way to go to have 1,000+ consistent listeners per week, but given the traffic on this whole forum site, we will get there!

    - Be a very well known person in the gaming industry to the point of being the next "Major Nelson." Thus, brand expansion. Brand explosion. Brand recognition. Baby!
My brand has been expanding since I had returned to a big board, and its been growing since I became more active in the twitter community. That said, everytime I post a suggestion on a video game, each teaser trailer includes a confirmation of my suggestion. Influence is evident. So I feel like I have someone watching from above.
    - Once the brand is there, expand to new avenues; become the next entertainment conglomerate. You see, you gotta start with one part then expand into other realms. I already have a few names up my sleeves that is ready to be implemented with other gaming websites are a part of my network right now. So, planning is already there. Just need to execute them.
This is something that has been delayed due to a reason listed below.
    - Get a decent job by the end of Spring. But I have to be "someone" first before taking that leap.
This is something I'm still working on. Its tougher every day. Just a few weeks ago, another opportunity was swapped away from me; getting to work for my favorite company with the blogging/social media experience I have gained.

It is increasingly hard to get a job where I live. Instead of being frustrated, I focus more on brand presence by twitter, youtube (I will be posting new videos once I have better equipment), and playing online on COD4 (one of the most popular video games on the market right now). And continue working on building up the blog little by little, slowly but surely.
    - Start a business this year.
    Its done. Got my license.
